This mouth-blown jug beautifully combines designer pieces and the traditional art of glassblowing. The jug is created by the glassmaker blowing the quartz sand melt directly onto the teak root with his glassmaker's whistle. As a result, the jug and root merge into a unique table sculpture, because each jug only fits its root, which also serves as a stand for the finished jug.

Each mug is unique. Burn marks on the root are signs of the marriage of jug and root and inevitably result from the glass being over 1000 °C hot.
